This is a playthrough using True Lotus Master in the Arcade game Martial Masters. Read on below for more information... True Lotus Master is the end boss of the game. It is unclear on whether he is unlockable or not... the game features a time release for a hidden character named Saojin, but it is not known if True Lotus Master is time released at all. However, the area of his icon on the character select screen suggests that he might be. The game also records the characters that have been used to complete the game with, so there is the possibility that True Lotus Master could be unlocked when every character has been used to beat the game. ===== ABOUT TRUE LOTUS MASTER ===== He is a colour palette-swap of the regular Lotus Master, but he has unique special, shadow and super moves, making him almost a different character when it comes to gameplay. Gameplay-wise, this guy is quite powerful... his Homing Lotus Leap is good for inflicting chip damage and his Fire Pillars super move is one of the best moves in the game. ===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ===== ---- His icon and portrait appears perfectly on the character select screen. This may suggest that he is an unlockable character. ---- The in-game colour palette I selected for him in this video is used to depict regular Lotus Master's image portrait on the character select screen. Therefore it's strange how TLM would have this palette rather than regular LM. ---- In the game, his name is misspelled as 'TURE LOTUS MASTER'. ---- When you complete the game with him, he doesn't have an ending. ---- His design is based on a character called Priest Kung from the movie, Once Upon a Time in China 2. ---- The Chinese name for the game is Xing Yi Quan. ===== ABOUT MARTIAL MASTERS ===== The game and it's characters are clearly inspired by and based on characters from various Hong Kong martial arts films, such as Once Upon a Time in China, Drunken Master and Operation Scorpio. Martial Masters is a beautiful game created by Taiwanese developers IGS... as you can see, the graphics and animation are excellent, and definitely on par with some other great traditional 2D fighting games such as Vampire Savior. If you didn't know who developed it, you could easily mistake it for a Capcom fighting game. The gameplay is good as well, as the hit pause and collision detection is just right. It seems to have taken inspiration from SF3:3S, judging by some of the game's mechanics.
