The original names are Ku-Zhi (苦蘵 Ku-Zhi), Nokjang (鹿醬, Lu-Jiang), Bai-Jiang (敗醬, Bai-Jiang), and Huang-Hua-Bai-Jiang (黃花敗醬, Huang-Hua-Bai-Jiang). Sanicula-leaf golden lace is a rare and endemic plant. The flower language of Matari is 'changeable love', 'beauty', 'unmeasurable love', and 'warmth'. About 15 species are native to Siberia, China, Korea and Japan. It is a perennial herb belonging to the family Mataridae. It is a perennial herb, propagated by rhizomes or seeds. It is distributed nationwide and grows in mountainous areas or fields. The rhizome is thick and extends laterally. The main stem, which grows upright, is about 90-180cm in height and branches off at the top. From July to September, the flowers that run in the cosmic form are yellow. The fruit is oval, about 3-4mm long, a little flat, has veins on the ventral side, and has ridges on the back side. Unlike 'Dolmatari' (Rocky golden lace), it is about 60~150cm high and has hairs lying on the leaves. Compared to 'White-flower golden lace', there are fewer hairs and the flowers are yellow. Vesicles are not prominent and wings do not develop on the fruit. Our native species include the short Dolmatari, Golden Matari, and Ttukgal. Young shoots are edible as greens and are planted for medicinal or ornamental purposes. The leaves and young shoots are eaten as a vegetable, blanched with other wild greens, or used as a side ingredient for namul-bap, fried rice, and japchae-bap, and boiled in miso soup. It is sometimes eaten fried in oil, but it has a slightly bitter taste, so it should be used after boiling in water. Also, the root smells of rotting soybean paste. Dolmatari is an aromatic plant and has a strong "corinth"-like odor. In particular, the higher the temperature, the stronger the smell. The species name rupestris means 'to grow on the surface of rocks'. Although they are tall, they form a cluster and bloom in yellow, and when the wind blows, it becomes a golden wave. I think it is the flower that connects summer and autumn. If you plant it in a garden or forest roadside for ornamental purposes, cutting the stem once in the middle will extend the flowering period much longer. In fact, flowers are rare during the transition from summer to autumn, but the yellow flower that blooms in the field at that time is matari. Matarina tukgal is difficult to distinguish before flowering, but is easily distinguished when flowering begins in midsummer. Tukgal has white flowers, while Matari has yellow flowers. Ttukgal and Matari are cousins, and although both are foreign words, they are pure Korean. Today, I introduced Matari, the 22nd story of wild flowers, which is showing for the first time in the world. thank you
