The Zombie is one of the most famous—and most misunderstood—cocktails in tiki history. In this episode, we’re stepping away from the well-worn versions and revisiting a lesser-known but deeply authentic take: the Headhunter Zombie, inspired by the legendary Hawaii Kai and its 1970s cocktail culture. Built around tropical nectars, layered rums, and just enough restraint to keep things balanced, this version shows how Zombies evolved outside of Don the Beachcomber’s original orbit.
