With one of Cornwall's most famous landmarks as a backdrop Marazion beach could get by on this alone. However, the beach itself is pretty good - good enough in fact to have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag award on numerous occasions. The beach itself is a lovely swathe of fine white sand, which at low tide extends out as far as St Michael's Mount. It is a beach of three sections - the first part runs along the front of the village towards the car park. Beyond this is a small river and then a stretch of low dunes - this is the best bit.
