For adults with needs, such as the blind or visually impaired and wheelchair users, a simple task like grocery shopping can be an uphill struggle. In late 2022, AWWA Day Activity Centre started a weekly grocery run to GIANT supermarket at Loyang Point in Pasir Ris. With the help of coaches, these special needs folks learn practical skills like following a shopping list and counting money - which will help them become more independent.
