Hellloooo friends near and far! Today’s video is about raspberries! This is a project perfect for those winter days spent indoors thinking about all those seeds that are waiting to be planted in spring - at least that’s what i’m excited for here in Ontario! I have saved some supermarket raspberry seeds that I am preparing to stratify in my refrigerator. This process is necessary for some seeds (mainly perennial) in order for them to germinate quickly/at all. Growing raspberries from seed seems silly even to me HA, but it is a fun project that I can do in the mean time before planting my earliest annual seeds next month! IMPORTANT NOTE: this is my attempt at this simulated winter technique and can be done many ways. Commonly expert growers will do this by seeding directly in the growing medium in trays before chilling. If you can do that or recycled containers it is worth a shot!
