Presenting a 1 of 1 all original mid-engine gated-manual N/A V12 all-wheel drive hand-built masterpiece from Lamborghini. And believe it or Not, Trump owned this car for 5 years, and with 15,000 original miles, it's a very special collectible car for any enthusiast's collection. Built to succeed the fabled Lamborghini Countach, this 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT roadster is one of 132 produced for the U.S. market between 1997-99. The Diablo carried on Lamborghini's tradition of naming cars for fighting bulls; it was named for a legendary bull that battled famed matador "El Chicorro" in the 19th century. I am so grateful to my good friend Alex who allowed me to share this special car with my audience. This car is heading to Barrett-Jackson for a no-reserve auction soon, but before it does we got to put this special piece of automotive history on camera for you! You know what they say, they don't make them like they used to. This 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT was the last year of production before Lamborghini was sold to the Volkswagen Group in 1998. With 492 HP and 428-foot pounds of torque from a naturally aspired V12 mated to a 5-speed gated manual transmission, this car rockets to 60 in 4.1 seconds. I know for modern times, that is nothing to write about, but back then that was supercar territory. The VT means "viscous traction" and really just means this car was all-wheel drive with a center lock differential. The 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT also had improved brake cooling, electronically adjustable dampers, and a revised interior. We absolutely love the white and black interior against the Blu Le Mans paint in person this car is absolutely a show stopper. In fact, I don't think you could bring a car that would drive more attention at your local car show than this 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT. In this video, we show the exterior, interior, perform a cold start, discuss the history a bit with Alex, and even show the pop-up headlights at the end.
