Over the past few years my world has changed more than I ever imagined it would. I have said goodbye to my parents, two brothers, a sister, and many members of my extended family. More recently I lost my wife Laura, the person who walked beside me through everything. Grief has a strange way of teaching you things about time. It reminds you how fast life moves, how fragile tomorrow really is, and how the moments that seemed ordinary often turn out to be the ones that mattered the most. This song was written from that place. "Forever Gets Lonely" is not just about one person or one loss. It is about the feeling many of us carry as the years pass and the rooms get a little quieter.
