William Morris is well known for the patterns that adorn walls and windows of homes around the world. Using some basic materials and equipment, print artist Rachel will take you through a series of exercises experimenting with shape, line and repeat. Your prints will be inspired by Morris' designs during his time at The Red House and beyond. Rachel has been running print making workshops for children and adults since 2005. She usually holds workshops at her studio in Rochester High Street but since 2020 has taken a lot of them online. Techniques taught include screen printing, linocut, Gelli printing and cyanotype. Rachel likes to demystify printmaking and tries to show how, with just a few common items and cheats, you can create fabulous prints.
