The mission of Protected Harbor is to build and operate Christian Care Homes for Adults with Developmental Disabilities… To provide a safe haven for God’s very special people. This home in some ways is like many others… And in many ways is truly unique. Here you will find love, Friendship, Faith, And blessings. You will also find a one-of-a-kind, Custom-built home, Designed to meet the needs of the adults with developmental disabilities who live here. Each has their own private suite, As well as the benefit of house parents who live in an adjacent apartment so they can give 24/7 support and supervision. The ministry at Protected Harbor was founded on the basis of prayer. For more than a decade, the Board prayed for God’s support and provision in building the first home. We were challenged, but God made it possible! The ministry of prayer is a Ministry of Power! That’s why we’re reaching out and asking each of you to join our Prayer Partner Alliance. There are thousands of adults with disabilities, and we believe that with many of us in prayer for Protected Harbor, we will be able to serve many of those adults who cannot provide for themselves! (if we cut here and go to closing it’s 2 minutes) More than a hundred years ago, a man named George Muller started a ministry in England. He was led by the Lord to provide Christian care for orphans. He built his ministry entirely on prayer! In December 1839, he made the following statement to his staff, co-workers and prayer partners; “ Everything has been given to us entirely as the result of prayer to God.” His ministry grew from caring for 96 orphans to more than 7,000 At the time of his death It’s our prayer that we may manage homes and provide Christian loving care for 7,000 adults with disabilities. Perhaps even 70,000!!! After all, as our Lord Jesus explained to His disciples, in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 19 and verse 26, With God all things are possible!
