Biltong is cured game meat or beef with its origins in the South African wilderness originally made in an effort to be self-reliant. It's made in a proudly South African style and if you practice self-reliance you can make it at home or in the wild. In this video I show you how to create the conditions for curing biltong whether it is game meat or beef. It has its roots in the wilderness and when you understand the principals around the conditions that need to be met to cure meat you can improvise in the wild. Biltong can also be made at home for you to carry in your EDC kit into the bush as it has a much longer shelf life than cooked meat. You can also improvise ways to cure it in the wild with whatever you have on hand. Here I show you how to create the perfect conditions.
