In this tutorial, we show you the easiest way to prepare your fabric for the Vervaco Stitch Along Advent. This "no-measure" folding method will help you turn your single piece of fabric into 24 perfect squares, all ready for you to start stitching! STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS: Cut your fabric into 4 Strips: 1. Begin with your ironed 45 x 70 cm fabric. 2. Take the shorter (45 cm) side and fold it in half. 3. Fold it in half again, and crease the folds firmly. 4. Carefully cut along these 3 creases. Pro-Tip: Aida fabric is woven in a grid. Follow the "holes" or weave of the fabric with your scissors to get a perfectly straight cut. You should now have 4 long strips, each 70 cm long. Cut your Strips into squares: 1. Take one of your 70 cm long strips. 2. Fold this strip in half. 3.Now, fold again into thirds (like you are folding a letter or brochure). This will create 6 equal sections. 4. Cut along your 5 new creases, again following the Aida weave. 5. Repeat this process for the other 3 strips. And that's it! You will now have 24 beautiful 11 x 11 cm (4.4" x 4.4") squares, all prepped for your Vervaco Secret Stitch Along to begin on December 1st.
