"Kid" the Story of Barry Cowsill by NOMRF

REM and the late Barry Cowsill's songs are on this New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund tribute. Barry was NOMRF founder Jeff Beninato's bandmate in The Stragglers, and these are our memories of him. New Orleans Sculptor Jimmy Descant's designed a rocketship urn with one of the first Cowsill's tickets and the Peace Dove that was in Barry's pocket when he was found. There's also footage of the New Wave Brass Band in Barry's second line from the river to Kerry's Irish Pub, playing replacement instruments donated by NOMRF. We end with the Cowsills' "Indian Lake" at Barry's Memorial. REM's new live new version of "South Central Rain" from Dublin, and Barry's "Kid", as well as Crescent City Snow by Susan Cowsill, are available on benefit downloads at www.nomrf.org.
