How far can a 2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV travel on a single charge in favorable conditions? That's the focus of this video, as we use the last days of summer to range test the car on local roads and temperatures that demand very little cooling (or heating... plenty of that in the months ahead!) In our 2017 Bolt Premier, we managed to reach the "300 Club" and just about squeak past 300 miles on its 60 kWh battery pack over weeks of daily errands and activities. With a 66 kWh pack on the 2020 Chevy Bolt, 300 miles should be a snip, but the GOM seems to disagree at some moments during this test... Hopefully these are useful data points for new 2020 Bolt owners and complete the seasonal set, having seen what happens in our cold weather and transitional seasons (spring/fall) testing. The temperatures ranged from 60-80°F and mostly speeds of 30-55 mph, so this should be applicable to anyone driving in a metro area or town with traffic and a comfortable climate. 2020 Bolt EV Winter Range Test (Highway) - • 2017 vs. 2020 Chevy Bolt EV: Cold Weather ... 2020 Bolt EV Spring Range Test (Mixed Driving) - • 2020 Chevy Bolt EV Spring Range Test: Effi...
