Nyanjala Maingu is not only a language teacher, but also an entrepreneur. She has taught English Language for more than five years in secondary and primary levels in Tanzania. Moreover, she is currently A Swahili Fulbright Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) at Northwestern University in the US. She believes in collaboration and peer learning, that language is a foundation of all careers- an important pillar of personal identity and self-belonging. Nyanjala is about to defend her MBA thesis at Mzumbe graduate business school, titled "Modelling the Production and Market Performance factors of Handmade cultural clothes.'' She got a Fulbright Language Teaching Assistantship grant through the Institute of International Education (IIE) that enables her to be a Swahili language teacher and Swahili cultural ambassador in the US. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with education from the University of Dar es Salaam. She is an alumnus of Loleza and Rosmini secondary schools. As an entrepreneur, she is producing indigenous chicks using incubator technology for the sustainability of food at the family level. Still, she makes handmade batik that she believes is the future in the fast-growing textile Industry.
