Safari Tanzania and beach holiday on Zanzibar 2019

8 days safari in the north of Tanzania followed by a beach holiday on Zanzibar in June / July 2019. From Frankfurt it went directly to Zanzibar with an interesting day in Stonetown and subsequent onward journey with Precision Airlines to Arusha. There we were picked up directly by our reliable driver and drove to our favorite lodge "Maramboi". At the pool with cool drinks could be up to 16 giraffes. We continued on the Tarangire National Park with its great scenery and the swamps, many giraffes and elephants. After another night in the Maramboi, it goes through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and into the Serengeti. We had exciting nights in Kati Kati Tented Camp - the sounds at night are really impressive! And when the buffalo grazes next to the tent, one can almost hear the breath. In the Serengeti we could see nearly 30 cheetahs. The highlight was definitely the semi-hard cheetah who jumped on the jeep. The cheetah would have been able to sit on the jeep for even longer. On the way back we stayed another night in the more luxurious Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge and drove on to Ngorongoro Crater. In the morning at 5:30 the alarm rang, leaving shortly before 6 o'clock - the crater can be visited from 6 o'clock in the morning. It's like a big zoo - just without fences, so different from z. Kruger National Park. On the way back we also wanted to pass by Katya and Tim at the Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge. The dinner and the breakfast were as always stunning! Afterwards we went back to Zanzibar for 6 nights. The island is really beautiful - but on the next visit I will visit the east of the island and not again Nungwi. On the other hand, we sat very well at Gerry's bar and I would definitely want to eat there again in the evening. All in all this was one of my best holidays!
