NOTE - How much I really worked during the year ~ After editing this, I thought about my response to how much did I study each day throughout the year (not exam periods) and I don't think I gave myself credit for how much work I did. I did put in lots of work - I arrived at school at least an hour early every single day to study, went to the library every lunch time and used every hour of my time wisely. That meant I worked in every class and free period, I would move and sit by myself if people were mucking around or chatting a bit on some days etc. I stayed at school and worked afterwards and then worked on the train on the way to training and then for at least 1 hour after training when I got home (usually more depending on how late it was). I just wanted to explain in the video that you just had to stay on top of your work so its essential that you make sure you get done what you are up to in your classes etc but I made sure to do extra (e.g practice HSC questions and summaries on what we had done) and work ahead e.g start the next chapter for maths OR do the same chapter in a different maths textbook. It is a lot of work but you just have to put in the work if you want to do the best you can and you CAN do it. The reason I got such a high ATAR was because the amount of effort I put in. I remember when I was panicking about how much work I had for english at one point my teacher said to me - 'If it were easy everyone would do it'. ...
