Today, Kenton is a quaint hidden gem in North Portland. Easily missed from the main thorough-ways of North Portland, this unique community has so much to offer and so much going on. The Kenton Street Fair, PDX Parkways, The Kenton Garage Sale are only a few of the yearly events the Kenton community hosts and partakes in, making it easy to experience the sense of community found around Denver Ave. As recently as September 29th, Kenton just unveiled its’ re-vamped playground at Kenton Park. There are going to be a lot of great things continuing to happen in this community for a long time to come. If you’re thinking about checking out Kenton, make sure to pop by Po’Shines for a po’boy, or Caveman if you’re looking for something a little more dietary-restriction friendly, Posie’s or Prince Coffee for a cup of coffee or to catch up on your reading and writing. And don’t forgot to visit the iconic Paul Bunyan statue, proudly watching over Kenton for more than 50 years. There is so much history to this community.
