Our old friend known as The Michael had a Ferrari that was best of the rest, if a tad unreliable, and he was able to stretch it out a little more so that if the two all-conquering Williams cars of Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve faltered, he'd be in a prime position to steal a win. Or three, as he did in this season. But having a car good in the wet and/or high downforce situations is one thing. Spanking the rest of the field like you're not trying is something else entirely. And Schumacher took full advantage of Williams getting their setups wrong to put on an absolute masterclass and taking the first of 72 wins with Ferrari. But there's more to this race than meets the eye. Because at the time, drivers were complaining about the very thing we think they're soft for doing today. Let's have a look... Enjoy!
