A cooking tutorial of my Blazin' Honey Roasted Peanuts! This was something I created because I know a lot of chili heads powder their chili's during the off season. This is the perfect snack to keep things interesting over the long off season months. It shows you exact techniques and tips so they will come out perfect every time. Enjoy and share the heat! I put a copy of my recipe below since the audio came out a little low. Honey Roasted Blazin' Peanuts Ingredients 2/3 cup white sugar 1/2 teaspoon regular chili powder 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 2 teaspoon ground hot chili powder 4 tablespoons butter 1/4 cup honey 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt 2 pound or 6 cups skinless peanuts Directions Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Stir together the sugar, regular chili powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Set aside. Stir together the butter, honey, ground hot chili powder, and kosher salt in a large saucepan over high heat until the butter has melted, and the mixture is bubbly. (about two minutes or boiling) Stir into the peanuts until well coated, then pour out into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake in preheated oven until the nuts are golden brown, about 20 minutes. Stir the mixture 2 or 3 times to ensure even cooking. Once done, scrape the peanuts into a large metal bowl, and sprinkle with the spiced sugar mixture. Toss the peanuts to evenly coat with the spice mixture. Allow the peanuts to cool to room temperature, tossing every few minutes so the nuts do not stick together. Pour onto a clean cookie sheet to totally cool before storing in an airtight container.
