But the future Laird knows nothing about it as he hates all English after they killed his wife. As the two have to get along which they have a hard time doing the wedding is going to take place but what will happen then? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chief Lachlan Ridell conquered Hawkshire, to get the Earl’s first daughter, Lady Gabriella, as a wife for his son Callum – the Devil of the Highlands who was still morning his first wife but needed a wife to secure the title as the new Chief when his father died. The raid was the day of her arranged marriage to her child hood friend. Gabby and Callum fall in love but his cousin Malcolm who was raised as a brother was jealous and wanted it all so got together with Callum's mistress to break them up. There were lots of things going on but in the end HEA ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is about an English maid that feels her life is a tool for others to control and a Highland man that wants to please his father and a constant fight with his first cousin. She is bargained away to save her family after a raid and he hates the English that murdered his wife. The way that they found love and the obstacles that they overcome are worth the read, but it gets better. Just when the antagonists look as though there is a twist that I never expected! This was a great read! Thank you for well spent time in Scotland. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Her Highland Devil is a Fantastic Story! Barbara Bard's characters were a delight; they are likeable (and not so likable), engaging individuals with real flaws who seem very realistic. It hooks you from the start and reels you in for the duration. I could not wait for the story to unfold. Throw in all the drama, deceit, sizzling romance, and suspense, kidnapping, and the twist and turns This book will hold your attention to the fullest.
