Former TMC leader Zenith Sangma officially rejoins Congress

Former Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Zenith M Sangma on Wednesday officially rejoined the Indian National Congress (INC) during a formal induction ceremony held at Congress Bhavan, Shillong. The event was attended by AICC Meghalaya in-charge Dr. A Chellakumar, MPCC president Vincent H. Pala, Tura Lok Sabha MP Saleng A. Sangma, and MPCC working president Deborah A. Marak, among other senior leaders. Sangma’s return to the Congress comes after the party’s central leadership approved his re-entry. In his resignation letter to Meghalaya TMC president Charles Pyngrope, the former MLA said the decision to leave the TMC was made after “much thought and reflection.” “My journey with the AITC has been filled with invaluable experiences, lessons, and memories. I will always remain grateful for the trust, support, and friendship I received from colleagues, workers, and well-wishers throughout my tenure with the party,” Sangma stated.
