From Displacement to Empowerment: Afghan Women Rise Through Education | PAGE x UN Women x WPHF

Once held back by displacement and uncertainty, Afghan refugee women and girls across Pakistan dared to dream of a better tomorrow and turned those dreams into reality. In collaboration with UN Women Pakistan and funded by the Women's Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), PAGE Foundation established 15 non-formal learning centers, opening the doors of education to 600 Afghan children, with a special focus on girls. Meanwhile, 360 resilient Afghan women gained access to the economic uplift centres, where they received vocational training and digital skills, stepping onto a path of financial independence and self-reliance. In addition, language and cultural classes empowered over 600 Afghan women and girls with the skills and confidence to navigate and thrive in a new environment. This is more than a project.
