The blue umbrella Jodhpur visited Animal Shelter at Soorsagar. We never imagined that people of Jodhpur could be so cruel against these innocent creatures. We were surrounded by hundreds of dogs and nobody tried to attack us, all they wanted was love and freedom. Their existence is not only ignored in this city but some people are disgusted just by their being. Beating these dogs from hockey sticks to death, trying to kill them by hammer, running cars over them, abandoning them just because of some physical disabilities or just because they're bored of taking care of them are some practices that Jodhpurites are following. This shelter in Jodhpur also know as 'Kuton ka baara' which means 'Dog Pond' literally stands by its name. These dogs are dumped here just because the citizens of Jodhpur don't like to see them near their house and unfortunately, they beat them or torture them to death for no apparent reason. This Animal Shelter's condition is really poor; no maintenance, no staff, no veterinarian etc. We can help by donating some amount, Adopting these homeless dogs and also sharing this campaign to bring this to authorities' notice.
