I just discovered today a most remarkable chorale prelude and a prototype of the twelve-tone technique. In each sentence, I've counted the number of tones and marked any missing tones in brackets. In three out of seven sentences, all twelve tones are present. In particular, b.13 alone contains all twelve! This is summarized below: 10 (C♯ B♭), 12, 11 (B♭), 11 (G♯), 11 (C♯), 12, 12 In addition, the BACH motif (with passing/neighbor tones in between) is heard three times. In my transcription, I use octave doubling for the pedal voice, except in the last sentence.
