A brief history of the wristwatch.

Something a bit different from us this week: a brief look at how the wristwatch came to be. This is something I'm personally very interested in and as a company we see ourselves as part of a long tradition of watchmaking in England and especially in London. I make no claims that this is definitive - just my thoughts on how the wrist watch evolved over time, with particular reference to the ones I have to hand. Feel free to share your thoughts / comments, but please don't just rehash something you read on a forum. Equally please don't spread nonsense about Girard Perregaux and the German Navy (it's not true...)
