The Divine Feminine Series: Introduction & Isis

Join us to explore the Divine Feminine across cultures--led by Evanique & Brian. Welcome to the series The Divine Feminine. In this series we will discuss female goddesses in various religions. We will be taking a look at feminine and masculine energy throughout the series. We will also be discussing the female goddesses and their male counterparts throughout the series. This discussion will be an introduction to this series. The book we will be using throughout the series will be Goddess Power: Awakening the Wisdom of the Divine Feminine in your Life by Isabella Price. It is not necessary to get the book to participate in this series. The first part of the discussion will focus on the Sacred Feminine. We will begin to look at concepts of The Divine Mother in different religions/cultures. The religions we will discuss in this series is Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. We will discuss these religions in their traditional and mystical aspects. In the next part of the discussion participants will discuss Isis, an ancient Egyptian goddess. Participants will have the opportunity to explore whether and how they have experienced aspects of Isis in themselves, in others or in the world. There are two moderators for this meetup. Neither claims any expertise in Isis, ancient goddesses or the Divine Feminine; only a recognition that Isis been an important goddess personifying the divine feminine in a wisdom tradition of which they are aware; and that they have an interest in exploring further her character and the experiences she typifies. In the process of discussing Isis, it is hoped that the discussants will enhance their own personal awareness, understanding and appreciation for Isis and the qualities she personifies.
