Entry 40 | Exploring Woodbury Wildlife Area | ODNR Lands in Coshocton County OH | Back Road Trails We took a fall drive out to Woodbury Wildlife Area in Coshocton County, Ohio, with a special stop at the Cowen Walk-In Area. Since the gate was open, we decided to take you along for a drive through the back roads and muddy paths to show just how much this area has to offer hunters, outdoor explorers, and families who love nature. Using our OnX App to confirm ODNR land boundaries, we explored County Road 4, County Road 17, and Township Road 400, showing off the hidden nooks and parking areas where you can stop and walk in. There’s no shortage of brush, small ponds, and scenic pull-offs. These are perfect for scouting potential hunting spots or simply soaking in Ohio’s fall beauty. Off of State Route 541, we also noticed some great dove-hunting opportunities across low brush fields. It was one of those perfect windy fall days where the leaves were glowing shades of orange, red, and yellow. Between the crunch of leaves and splash of puddles, we found ourselves falling in love all over again with Ohio’s back roads. Elliott was having a blast, and for once, we didn’t get totally lost, though we did miss a turn that led us to discover Township Road 400, which was well worth it! This trip was all about family time, discovery, and sharing another slice of Ohio’s great outdoors. With deer season and dove season open during filming, we wanted to give viewers a first-hand look at new areas to explore within Woodbury for their next trip. If you’ve driven any of the roads we mentioned or have favorite hidden gems nearby, drop a comment below, we’d love to hear your recommendations. Who knows, we may feature your recommendations in our future videos! Thank you for tagging along as we explore Ohio one back road at a time. Reflection: There’s something grounding about a fall day spent exploring the back roads of Ohio. Between the crunch of the leaves, the cool wind, and the occasional splash through a muddy puddle, this trip reminded us why we love exploring places that feel untouched. The Woodbury Wildlife Area is full of hidden gems for hunters, explorers, and families who just want to get outside and breathe in the fresh air. Sometimes it’s not about the destination, it’s about slowing down together and finding joy in the journey.
