1-POCKET – In 2003, Grady “The Professor” MATHEWS, 60, and Keith McCREADY, 45, contested at the Derby City Classic 1-Pocket division. Both players, in their prime, favored hustling and gambling over tournament play. Grady, an expert at all pocket billiard games, claimed 1-Pocket as his favorite game and he gets credit for building the popularity of that game to great heights. Keith who also traveled the country in the 70’s and 80’s matching up, had his share of tournament wins over the best players of that era. In “The Color of Money”, Keith played the part of Grady Seasons. Can we ever forget his favorite line, “It’s like a nightmare, isn’t it? Enjoy the match.
