This is Windows 11 build 21996 (21996.1.co_release.210529-1541) in VMware Workstation Pro. This is a Pre-Dev Channel build that was compiled on 2021-05-29 and does not expire. This build was available publicly on 15 June 2021. This build was significant because although it's not the earliest build leaked, it is was the first build that leaked that made it was clear to everyone that there was going to be another version of Windows despite Microsoft incorrectly thought to be previously stating that Windows 10 would be the last version of Windows (note: Microsoft never officially stated this, but rather Jerry Nixon did at the Microsoft Ignite conference in 2015 and articles misused this quote and made it seem like an official Microsoft statement which it was not). How I got this to run: VMware Workstation Pro 16.2.3 OS set to Windows 10 and later x64 4 GB RAM 4 CPU cores 60 GB NVMe drive For drivers I used current VMware Tools for Workstation 16.2.3 Music: 1.
