Wire Pass to Buckskin Gulch is a day hike in southern Utah through some amazing slot canyons. Round trip is about four miles, but there is much to explore with more time. Always know what the forecast is above the canyon and the water shed that feeds it miles away. The BLM ranger station in Kanab is a good source of information. If you do not get a Wave permit this is a good alternative. They share the same trailhead. It is self-pay at the parking lot.
