The President of the United Nations General Assembly (PGA) hosted dialogues between UN Member States and candidates for the United Nations Secretary-General on 12-14 April 2016. The current list of official candidates can be found on the PGA's website, along with more information on the process: http://www.un.org/pga/70/sg The Office of the PGA had requested the United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service (UN-NGLS) to facilitate a process with civil society to provide questions that can be asked to candidates during these dialogues. More than 1000 questions from Civil Society were received. UN-NGLS facilitated a Civil Society Committee to review the submitted questions and short-list 30 questions to present to the Office of the PGA. The President of the General Assembly selected the questions of Mabelly Guerrero of Dominican Republic and Archie Lappin of Thailand as those asked of candidate Dr. Igor Lukšić on 12 April 2016.
