This beautiful autumn hike brings us from below the clouds in Gersau to the top of Rigi Scheidegg, one of the peaks of the Rigi massif. Especially in autumn, Switzerland can feel cold and wet for long periods of times. Going out hiking will bring you above the sea of clouds. After about 4 hours of steady upwards climbing, you can reach the top of Rigi Scheidegg. From here, you have incredible views towards the Mythen mountains and the Glarus alps, as well as towards Lauterbrunnen and the Bernese Alps. Just across Lake Lucerne is Engelberg, which offers the incredly beautiful four lakes hike.
