The Wilf Children’s Hospital was inaugurated in 2015, a “new generation” structure within the Shaare Zedek Medical Center. The new hospital sets a new standard for pediatric medicine in Jerusalem and its environs. Wilf is equipped with the very best and latest sophisticated diagnostic and treatment technologies. It is here in the “Children’s Kingdom” that the medical experts, nurses and multidisciplinary professionals work together for a tailor-made treatment for every child. The medical services are provided in the hospitalization wards, various institutes, clinics and daycare units – all using various anesthetic methods to minimize pain. Many children first encounter the hospital in an emergency room. Here at Wilf, the Pediatric Emergency Room is exclusively for children, unlike the other hospitals in town. Our Pediatric E.R. is the largest in the Jerusalem area. The patient rooms are spacious and well equipped, with a bed for the parents adjacent to the child patient’s bed. The Wilf has a school, music room, and pet corner working in synergy with the medical care to promote the child’s healing process. The ICU cares for critically ill young patients, often in mortal danger. The treatment rooms are roomy, with the very latest state-of-the-art equipment.
