Khamis Mushait or Khamis Mushayt is a city in south-west Saudi Arabia, located east of Abha, the provincial seat of the Asir province, 1,300 kilometres 650 nautical miles from Dhahran and 884 kilometres from the national capital of Riyadh. It is the capital of the Shahran tribe. Abha is the capital city of Aseer Province near the Red Sea in southwest Saudi Arabia. It’s known for the craggy mountains of Aseer National Park, which is home to birds, dense juniper forests and the towering Jabal Soodah peak. At the heart of downtown Abha is the restored mud-walled Shada Castle, now a handicrafts museum. Nearby, the Al-Muftaha district has stone houses and a weekly market with crafts and curios. Al Souda (Arabic: ٱلسّوْدَة‎) is a tourist village in the Abha region of Saudi Arabia, located about 28 kilometres (17 mi) from the city of Abha.
