This is my second Crystal Castles cover fittingly taken from their second LP “Crystal Castles II”. This cover was quite an interesting experience to go through, while I made the demo/model in Bandlab, most of the song was actually made in GarageBand. I recently got an iPhone 11 which gave me access to that DAW, this cover was originally just a test to see how well I could do with these new tools but needless to say the result was extremely exciting. Post-processing was done in bandlab, with the vocals being extracted from the original song with bandlab's splitter tool, while the results weren't as crystal clear as the vocals for Crimewave it was better than some stems i could find online. All in all it was an interesting attempt with new tools. This cover is specially dedicated to Alice Glass, singer of Crystal Castles.
