Dark Seed failure compilation. All Game Over animations from Dark Seed (ダークシード). Dark Seed is an adventure game which capitalizes on the drawings of famous horror designer H. R. Giger as a source of artwork and inspiration. If you are familiar with Giger's work you would agree that it is very sexual in nature. That is not an aspect of this game, however. It focuses on bio-mechanical fusion leaving out erotic elements as you can see even from cover. Important mechanic of game is existence of Dark World - a twisted, colorless, horrific reflection of reality (expressed through designs based on Giger's paintings) and main character's ability to travel to it (which might sound familiar if you played Silent Hill, Alan Wake, Deadly Premonition or a number of other survival horror titles). Mr. Giger has been quoted saying: "As a fine artist, I was originally somewhat skeptical about graphics quality. However, when Cyberdreams came to my home in Switzerland to show me my images on the computer, I was very pleased. As I looked at screen after screen, I recognized my work and felt that great care was taken to keep many elements of my original art. I could only say "beautiful." This was a new experience for me to see my art used in an interactive environment. I have enjoyed my first true experience with computers, a medium which has only just begun."
