After years of absence, golden eagles are beginning to venture back into England thanks to the groundbreaking work of the South of Scotland Golden Eagle Project. Among those crossing the border in 2025 was a young male called Talla - one of a number of golden eagles translocated by the project from the Scottish Highlands to the Moffat Hills. The project team has now established a new conservation charity called Restoring Upland Nature (RUN) to continue the their important work in the south of Scotland, and extend their reach into England. Dr Cat Barlow, Chief Executive of RUN and Project Manager of the South of Scotland Golden Eagle Project, was interviewed on BBC Breakfast on 29.05.2025 following a report by Jo Lonsdale about Talla's visit to Northumberland: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c62x40...
