Do you have a problem with your USB-C iPhone 16 or 15 and it can't see or connect to your external USB-C SSD storage Drive? While there could be a number of reasons why this is happening. As long as your external drive is formatted to a disk format that iPhone understands. It could be that your external SSD requires more power than your iPhone can supply. Which could be the difference between using a Gen 3 NVMe SSD or a Gen 4 NVMe SSD. You may see people saying that they don't have any issues using a Gen 4 SSD. In my experience I have had nothing but trouble with Gen 4 NVMe SSDs with any iPhone and in my experience the best SSD for an iPhone is Gen 3 NVMe. My advice is don't take the risk, just stick to Gen 3. If you are on an earlier iPhone that uses a Lightning port, you may find this video useful.
