Exploring Thessaloniki, Greece's 2nd largest city, with my cousin, who is from here & will help us see some of the best that the Greek co-capital has to offer. Sitting atop the Thermaic Gulf in northern Greece's Macedonia region, Thessaloniki has a population of around 1 million people, and has been continuously inhabited since the Hellenistic period, owing largely to its strategically important location.
