Incredible 200 year old Abandoned Boyd Manor/ Log House & Farm Left Forgotten in Maryland

This beautiful old farmhouse originally began its life as a simple two story log home built in the early 1800’s. After the civil war the family reached moderate success with dairy farming and renovated the log cabin into the folk Victorian vernacular house you see today. Keeping the core of the log house still intact but expanding the home and adding more modern amenities like indoor plumbing. This large farming operation ran for over a century in the same family until the final owners passed away in the late 1990’s. Ever since then the house, barn and outbuildings have been slowly crumbling away, sad fate for this classic old American farm. Glad I could document this place before it’s replaced by a subdivision and no one even knows what stood there before them, maybe the subdivision will use the farms family name and that’ll be all that’s left.
