Wycrail 2019 – High Wycombe & District Model Railway Society - 2nd November 2019 Some layouts from the exhibition.. Lynth-Haven by Darren Bilcock OO Gauge – Members Layout of the Letworth Model Railway Society - A fictitious railway some where on the LMS line. In the best spirit of model railways, and in his own words... "Lynth-haven is a fictitious railway some where on the LMS line. Vale View – O Gauge. A layout under construction in a small space using the power of the latest DCC technology. A fictional scene based on the efforts that it takes to prepare a locomotive for a day’s work. Locomotives can be seen leaving the resting shed early in the morning being fuelled with coal and water. Trinity Dock Street Bridge – OO Gauge – 1939 – the workings around part of the old town docks in Hill, Yorkshire as the smoke, soot and grime mix with the mist blowing up the Humber. Belbroughton in North Worcestershire – O Gauge – A village in an area bounded by Kidderminster Bromsgrove Longbridge and Stourbridge. In real life the village never had a railway but this is what could have been if the LMS and GWR had built a line into the town. Staffordshire Pottery – N Gauge This model sets out to display a working Staffordshire Pottery prior to modernisation. It features smoking bottle kilns, an open cast mine, cramped housing adjacent to the works, and a funeral as life expectancy was short. It has featured in Model Rail. It can be displayed alone, or in conjunction with ‘Barry Inspired Scrapyard’ and/or ‘Turntable Yard’. Feltham Road MPD – OO Gauge – Steam locomotive depot set in the 1950s to 1967 the end of stream. The Deport turntable is operated by a stepper motor with the electrics from Model Electronic Railway Group (MERG). It is operated by MERG DCC control system connected to a Raspberry Pi and can be controlled by mobile phone or iPod. Scenic Modelling Demonstration by Roy Hickman Norge – HO Gauge – A fictitious seaport with a busy local fishing industry. It is set in the present day featuring a cavalcade of electric and diesel trains. Apart from the station terminus all the buildings are scratch-built and are based on prototypes from holiday photographs and represent different areas in Norway such as Sergen, The Lofoten Islands and Hell etc. Ealing Road – OO Gauge - BR 1960s – Ealing Road was conceived and built by the Missenden Modellers team for the Channel 5 TV series “The Great Model Railway Challenge”.
