McFarlane's Batman 6 Pack Michael Keaton BATMAN 1989 Figure Re-Caped and Re-Painted!

What has to be one of the most satisfying figures I have obtained in recent years, the new 7 inch McFarlane Batman 1989 is a wonder to behold! An amazingly accurate body, with a poseable head and now with a better, Batgirl31pleather cape! This figure just made my day! I hoped it would be a nice one, since the amazing Knightfall Batman comics figure was so awesome, and the Flash movie Keaton figure was so amazing, so I had high hopes for this one! I could not wait to get one, even when I wasn't after the full six pack. So, I snagged this guy, and waited! In he came, and I sat transfixed! He was awesome! Even out of box, with the cloth cape! This figure was a marvel to me! A truly satisfying 1989 Batman after so many figures in a row! I had started out in like 1990, with the old Horizon vinyl kit, and the much better Billiken kit (which I cut apart and made my first 1/6 scale Keaton Batman custom figure with!), on to the movie figures, from back in the day, the Kenner ones on through to the more recent NECA figure. But, for some reason, none of them were as totally satisfying! Now, the 12 inch Hot Toys is awesome, and has the best cowl I have seen on any Batman figure! But it is not as "playworthy" and poseable, and just FUN as this one is! To say I love it is an understatement! With my newfound ally, Batgirl31, whose capes remake any figure they replace, this figure with some minor retouches, is now about right! IMPORTANT RE-CAPING NOTES! : First, when removing the head, should you choose to do so, heat the whole upper body at the shoulders, and pop the head off FIRST! Set it out of the way for repainting if you desire. Then work on the cowl off gently around the neck, as it takes some time. Keep it HEATED and soft and pliable! Second, remove the cloth cape. It comes off easily! Third, once you dremel out a trench for the cape to set into, over the cowl lock, DO NOT GLUE THE CAPE DOWN! Use no glue regarding the cape! The cowl itself will hold the cape in place! Very important! It will also be slightly adjustable still. Otherwise, watch the vid to see how to do the main work! Thanks again to Batgirl31!
