On Sunday in Palm Coast, Florida, a 36-year-old woman was caught shoplifting inside a Walgreens on State Road 100—unaware that a deputy was already inside the store. Deputies say she removed multiple cosmetic items from their packaging and concealed them before attempting to leave. When confronted, she ignored commands to stop and resisted as the deputy tried to detain her. Backup deputies arrived moments later and were able to secure her without further incident. She was arrested and charged with petit theft and resisting an officer without violence. Authorities transported her to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where she was later released. During the arrest, the situation became even more chaotic when she reportedly urinated on herself while being taken into custody. This footage was obtained through a public records request under the Florida Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
