Das KZ Wöbbelin und die Bevölkerung der Umgebung. Eine Spurensuche Im Oktober 2020 interviewten Schülerinnen des Gymnasialen Schulzentrums Dömitz Ramona Ramsenthaler, die damalige Leiterin der Mahn- und Gedenkstätten Wöbbelin. Im Rahmen eines Geschichtsprojektes ging es vor allem um die Frage, wie die Bevölkerung der Umgebung 1945 das KZ Wöbbelin wahrgenommen hat. Das KZ war das zuletzt eingerichtete Außenlager des KZ Neuengamme. Das erst im Februar und März 1945 gebaute Steinbarackenlager wurde ab Mitte April zum Auffanglager für Räumungstransporte meist aus anderen Außenlagern des KZ Neuengamme. Es befand sich direkt an der Straße zwischen Wöbbelin und Ludwigslust. Die Produktion erfolgte mit Unterstützung der Stiftung der Sparkasse Mecklenburg-Schwerin im gemeinsamen Projekt "Hingucken und Einmischen - für ein demokratisches Mecklenburg-Vorpommern" mit dem Verein Mahn- und Gedenkstätten im Landkreis Ludwigslust-Parchim e.V. durch Mirko Schütze von der Sophie Medienwerkstatt. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ENGLISH ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The concentration camp Wöbbelin and the population of the surrounding area. The concentration camp was the last subcamp of the Neuengamme concentration camp to be established. It was located directly on the road between Wöbbelin and Ludwigslust.
