The Peru Reconstruction programme goes beyond building infrastructure; it’s about delivering social value, sustainability and resilience for communities across Peru. The UK Delivery Team, a partnership between Gleeds, Mace and Arup plays a crucial role in realising this vision by providing ongoing technical assistance to the Peruvian Government. A key component is the adoption of life cycle design to ensure that every facility delivers long-term value for the community it serves. The impact is clear across all types of infrastructure: ◾ In schools, we are creating modern, climate-resilient environments that enhance teaching and learning outcomes ◾ Developing more efficient hospital facilities that improve healthcare quality and patient care ◾ And flood defences that provide long-term protection for 16 million people, strengthening climate resilience in vulnerable regions.
