[ INTROSPECTION / 内観 Mandala between Japan and China cooperation project ] S-VA-HA [ Yukihisa HIRABAYASHI - TETTA - Shugyo KAWAKAMI ] And Lu Yang 2017 - 2016 All rights reserved by S-VA-HA and Lu Yang Supported by Japan foundation Beijing office, AM ART SPACE Shanghai This cooperation art works by Japanese Contemporary Buddhist Art Group S-VA-HA with Chinese video artist Lu Yang. 本作は日本の仏教現代美術グループ ソ-ワ-カと中国人ビデオアーティスト ルー・ヤンとによる共同制作作品である。 The Human being as a creature must reach to death at last and “Image of the world after death“ were preached in various religions and mythology in the world, In Buddhism that called “Pure Land”, In Christian religion or In Islam that called ”Heaven”, “ Idealized Image of the world after death“ was painted as a religious art.. 生物である人間がいずれ迎えなければならない「死」、そしてその「死」の先の世界を仏教では「浄土」、キリスト教やイスラム教では「天国」、或いは世界中の創唱宗教から民族宗教に至るまで説いてきた。 そして「生」の後の「死後の世界」は、様々な宗教絵画として描かれてきた。 But in modern age, life span of human being in development countries were spread by the medical development and it was probably become difficult to imagine as the “Idealized Image of the world after death“? しかし今日、医療の発達などにより発展国の人々の平均寿命は飛躍的に伸びた。その様な中で人々は「理想化された死後の世界」を想像する事が困難になったのではないだろうか？ “Image of Life and Death in modern age” is main theme of our cooperation art work. And we used traditional Buddhist painting style about pure land called ,In Japanese“「Jyoudo-hensouzu/ 浄土変相図（当麻曼荼羅）」. This traditional Buddhist painting style were painted in between China and Japan and this image has universality in between China to Japan, And to use this traditional Buddhist painting images for the viewer will suggest the own Life and Death. “現代における生と死のイメージ”が本共同制作作品の主要テーマである。本共同制作作品では日本と中国の両国の伝統的な仏教絵画の作例があり、普遍的な浄土/死後の世界のイメージといえるであろう「浄土変相図」（通称「当麻曼荼羅」を題材とする事で個人の生と死を鑑賞者に想起させる。 “Difficulty about Life” was changing in present times, and these rapidly changing made us transformation of the embodiment. また現代のおける「生」に伴う困難さの変化は、「生」に伴う性差などの身体感覚をも変化させてきているのではないだろうか。 Psychologist Carl Gustav Jung named “Anima” that feminine unconscious personality in men ‘s dream and “Animus” that masculine unconscious personality in women ‘s dream. And described to meet unconscious personality in dream is important stage of Individuation process. 心理学者 C.G ユングは夢の中に現れる男性の中の女性的な無意識的人格を「アニマ」、女性の中の男性的な無意識的人格を「アニムス」と名付け、それぞれとの出会いを「個性化」の重要な段階 であると説いた。 In this cooperation art work, TETTA（ a Female member of S-VA-HA） will enter the screen as the moving Buddhist statue with feminine body and masculine mustache that is metaphor of “ Animus“. Male pole dancer will disguise as a heavenly maiden and enter the installation that is metaphor of “Anima”. These Anima and Animus were compared with Buddhist Sutra chanting that “Kunnon Sutra～ One part of Lotus sutra” described Nirvana of woman after transformation to the man.
