#christmasmusic #christmassongs What started out as a whim, to write a holiday song for my kids every December, turned into the most fun recording project of my life. The joy and ease with which these sweet lil' holiday cookies baked-up surprised me, and I think you'll hear the spontaneity. Having never written a holiday song before, returning to my native Minnesota, made it easy – filling my winter heart with earnestness and gratitude for generations of family. The songs slid down the chimney and landed fully formed on my lips and finger tips. But of course nothing happens without a skilled producer, John Fields, my great friend, inspirer and musical enabler. Nor without a village of mad-capped Whovillains who contributed their toasty-warm grooves & profound talents. Special shout out to my talented nephew Owen McCready, for composing and conducting the gorgeous and detailed horn quartet arrangement for "On This Wondrous Night". credits Davina Lozier - lead & backing vocals Tommy Barbarella - B3 organ & piano Geoff LeCrone - electric guitar Jeffrey Bailey - upright bass Noah Levy - drums Owen McCready - conductor, arranger Ken Chastain - sleighbells, cymbal, bells, claps, conga, orchestration & additional engineering John Fields - keyboards, electric guitar, producer, mixer, engineer Scott Agster - orchestral contractor Takako Senn - cornet Kristen Haug - french horn Zach Marley - euphonium Eric Ebeling - tuba Recorded at Creation Audio, Minneapolis, MN Greg Reierson - mastering Chris Coyne - cover art assist Kay Wisely - rooftop photo Words & music - Willie Wisely
