Each part is hand assembled by qualified craftsmen according to the original Shanti design. Eight bars are silver welded to a metal ring at the bottom of the sound tube. Accurately tuned, a play of clear, overtone-rich tones is created. The overtones of the shorter bars gradually dominate and become the root. Each chime has a specific magical timbre and can be played together with the other types. Gently move the gong by its string, or let it play with the wind suspended from the ceiling, wall or branch. A crystal clear relaxing sound will enchant you in no time. This and a new way of tuning gives the sound even more depth and richer overtones. The sound of the Zaphir wind chimes is also absolutely wonderful for children. There are 5 different moods corresponding to the 5 seasons (Feng shui) and the 5 elements: Crystalide, Sunray and Twilight, Blue Moon, with Sufi as the intermediate season.
