------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Description: onboard footage from British Airways B747-400 BA113 London Heathrow (LHR/EGLL) to New York JFK (JFK/KJFK) Flight report: Boarding was slow, but was still completed on time due to the aircraft being only half full. We were informed as well, that ATC had pushed back our push back slot to 1645. We eventually pushed back and taxied quickly to runway 09R. We joined the queue in 5th place. After 10 minutes we were given takeoff clearance and began our roll down the runway. Takeoff was a bit turbulent as we climbed out of a misty Heathrow. We banked right after takeoff 180 degrees and ascended to 10,000ft. We stayed at the altitude as we left London Airspace, before being given clearance to climb to 36,000ft. Our route took us across Wales, Ireland and over the Atlantic Ocean. We met the Canadian coastline over Newfoundland. From there we skirted along the Canadian coast before crossing over the border into Maine, then Massachusetts, where we began our descent into JFK. We approached runway 22L over Long Island, we banked left to line up with runway 22L for final approach. Our approach was also turbulent and we landed pretty hard. We vacated the runway and we began our taxi to Terminal 7. We held on the taxiway for about 10 minutes, as we waited for guidance onto our stand. Disembarkation was relatively quick. Unfortunately didn't have a window seat on return leg so there won't be a return leg video.
